middle grade fantasy author
have you done this?
You finally get that book you've been dying to read, but you are only a few pages in before you are introduced to immature characters who act nothing like you would. You sigh, close the book, and put it in the same pile with that other book you stopped because of the cursing and inappropriate content.
Why does it feel like all the exciting adventures you want seem to be written for someone else? How come there aren't more books written for those who feel stuck between the Middle Grade and Young Adult genres?
Growing shouldn't mean you have to stop going on adventures.

i've been in your shoes
Growing up, I loved reading books like Percy Jackson and Narnia, stories that were fun, but also helped empower me to become the hero of my own story. But being a really fast reader, I struggled to find good books just as fast as I read them.
As an Author Conservatory student and member of many book fandoms, I’ve spent a lot of time studying what other authors have gotten right as well as what is still needed. Now I am trained by award-winning authors to write the same kinds of stories I fell in love with.
